Things are looking up. I'm getting my stuff done, making progress, and the Judge likes my work, for a change.
I went to an awesome mixer after work today. It was a Summer Associate mixer for all the Asian American bar and lawyers associations, and hell, I'm close enough to being an associate. It's just a great opportunity to meet new people.. and reconnect with old ones.
Among other people, I saw a guy from high school, Stewart Kwoh, who is one of my teachers from UCLA and the head of the APALC, a Stanford classmate I haven't seen all summer, and a whole bunch of people from college that I remember vaguely. I also met a cool partner from Mayer Brown, a bunch of city attorneys, and some interesting law students. Though it was nominally an Asian Am mixer and had high Asian attendance, the crowd was actually quite diverse. Meeting people is always good.
Oh, and the picture is of a couch that we're throwing out because it's too "old." It's been a part of our household ever since I was born, so I'm sorry to see it go. But things change..

hey!
That couch is actually quite comfortable. Faced with the choice, I would choose comfort over cold, asceptic style any day. Also, there's nothing else I dislike more than a pretentious, anonymous poster who professes to know what's in vogue, and what's not.
