My sister just finished her last law school final. She graduates in another week and a half at a ceremony at beautiful Loyola Marymount University (notwithstanding the fact that the law campus is a separate location in urban Pico-Union). I'm proud of her! I've watched her grow from a hapless 1L who didn't know how to write into a polished 3L who writes in spare and efficient prose, and who knows just how much to cram for a test so she can ace it and still have time to go out partying afterwards. (She knows how to fit 'having fun' with work about as well as anyone I know.)

However, I asked her if she was excited to be done and she said no. "I have to study again in 3 weeks," she explained, referring to the California Bar.

Of course, she gets to do it while residing in our new place. Her and I are moving out starting this weekend. Living at home has been fun, and convenient, and cost-efficient, but I guess it's time for a change. (I still like the idea of carpooling every day with my dad and/or taking the subway, which I won't be able to do from Baldwin Hills.)

On an interesting and unrelated note, it's been a year to the day of my law school graduation. It's hard to believe it's been that long.

it's been a long time

Sleepy Eric

Yesterday I went to my cousin Lucas's Loyola High School graduation. It was short, sweet and to the point, which is always a plus in a graduation ceremony. I took a ton of pictures. Burst mode on the SD 300 is awesome and works as advertised. I used it to make sure I got this shot..

It's hard to believe it's been 6 years since I graduated from Loyola. Time flies, and it seems an eternity ago. So much has changed, yet so much has not changed.

I said hi to a couple of my teachers, Mrs. Rousseve and Mr. Bodensteiner, who I had for pre-frosh English and senior AP Government, respectively. They remembered my face, but not my name. They also had both taught Lucas this past year, and after realizing we have the same last name, thought he was my little brother. We do look somewhat alike..

Lucas is going on to UCI. I wish him the best of luck. I've been giving him some advice already on college.. I realize I have a lot to share, and have in fact gained a lot of experience from my days at UCLA. Though for some reason, I feel like my motivation is to make sure he doesn't repeat the mistakes I made..!

tired of photography

That's right.. I am tired of working in the darkroom, which I thought would never happen. I haven't been able to spend that many hours there before today, so that made my time there quite valuable.. but today I was in there for almost 7 hours, both before and after lunch. I developed two rolls of film and made probably like twenty five 8x10 prints.. so I got a good number of pictures that I had wanted to make. However, I could probably spend two more days like that before I would really be done, that's disturbing..
My grandma cooked both lunch and dinner for me and they were huge meals.. It's the way she shows her love for me, and it's hard to tell her not to put more food on my plate :\ Oh.. I took some pictures of her and my grandpa, and developed those today, too :)
I was so tired I went home and took a nap, and didn't go to the gym.
